If you do stick with O356/2016 you'll have to rely strictly on the OS X facility for assigning keystrokes to Excel commands. IOW, if keyboard customization is that important to you, continuing to pay for O365 with that expectation is money wasted unless you have other reasons to continue the subscription. The more voices added to the choir the better the chance,īut I wouldn't hold your breath. I'd suggest you use the Smiley the right end of the Ribbon to plead your case to the development team.
The only way the capability will be restored is if there is overwhelming demand from users. is to make the Mac version more like the PC version which has never offered custom keyboard shortcuts. In fact, all indications are that the capability will not be restored.
Apparently Phillip doesn't care how he spends your money :-) Custom keyboard shortcuts in Mac Excel are gone & there is no basis for expecting them to be 'coming back'.
